Carter & Spencer began its operations in Brisbane's Roma Street markets in 1946 as a wholesaler of fruit and vegetables and in 1956 relocated to the Brisbane Markets site at Rocklea. Today Carter & Spencer is run by the founder’s grandson Craig Spencer and has expanded to grow, market and supply fresh fruit and vegetables to supermarkets around Australia and the world.
