The ugly spice that packs a beautiful flavour punch. Ginger is a herb but is often known as a spice with a strong, distinct flavour. The part of the plant that is used as spice are the rhizomes, or ginger root. Ginger was originally cultivated in China. Carter & Spencer ginger is grown on our very own farms in sunny Queensland!
