Spencer Ranch covers 265 hectares, and currently has over 62,500 citrus trees planted with future expansion planned. Citrus varieties grown on the ranch include: lemons, limes, mandarins (Imperial, Avanna, Honey Murcott), and oranges (Washington, Midknight Valencia, Blood Navel).


Spencer Ranch has dedicated crews assigned to planting, harvesting and packing. It is a fun, friendly, team environment on farm with several staff having worked on the property for over 20 years.


When in full production, more than 650,000 units are packed annually in our state of the art packing facility which features Compac Packing and Sinclair labelling equipment. 

The Spencer Ranch team also provide contract picking and packing for other farmers in the local area as well as provide agronomic support.

 FARMER PROFILE 

Spencer Ranch is run by head farmer Will Thompson. Will joined the Carter & Spencer team in 2015 and brings with him 15 years' experience in horticulture as a grower, packer and marketer. Will has both trade and tertiary qualifications, having worked with citrus, mangoes, table grapes, apples, stone fruit, cherries and wine grapes in the growing districts of the Burnet, Batlow, Yarra Valley, Stanthorpe and Riverina. 
 
Will enjoys working closely with the Spencer family to expand our growing operations and loves the 80 year history of the family and its involvement in Australian agriculture.
